A plus-sized swimsuit model has cracked the pages of Sports Illustrated's swimsuit issue -- but not in the magazine's photo spreads.

Instead, Ashley Graham will appear in a one-page ad for SwimsuitsForAll, an 8-year-old company that specializes in plus-sized swimwear. Graham, who has appeared in ads for Levi's, Lane Bryant and Bloomingdale's, among others, is shown walking by a pool as a young man appears about to fall in, as though stunned by her appearance. The ad pushes the hashtag #CurvesinBikinis.

The placement, which pointedly contrasts with the models in SI's annual issue who are not plus-sized, comes after Tess Holiday became the largest plus-sized model to score a contract with a major modeling agency, MILK Model Management, last month.

Though plus-sized models like Graham are still far from common in fashion publications and advertising, an estimated 65% of U.S. women wear sizes 14 to 24.

Reps for Sports Illustrated did not immediately respond to Mashable's request for comment, however Robyn Lawley is in the editorial section of the swimsuit issue, and her Twitter bio describes her as a "model beyond a size 10".
