Boston has been walloped by snow this winter, including 23.1 inches in one storm that ended on Monday. With a total of 77.3 inches, it's now the ninth-snowiest season since modern weather records began in 1891, and the third-snowiest February on record.

For the snowiest winter of all time, look back to 1995-96, which saw a whopping 107.6 inches in total. But there are two more storms headed toward Boston over the next few days, meaning it could get closer to breaking that record as well. In the meantime, here are some records that have already been set.

30-day snowfall record: 72.6 inches

The previous record was 58.8 inches in 1978. Take that, Blizzard of '78!

20-day snowfall record: 71.8 inches

Boston typically gets about half this much snow in an entire winter.

14-day snowfall record: 64.4 inches

This is also a lot of snow. That's pretty much all you can say.

Snow depth: 37 inches

This was measured at Blue Hill Observatory, which is a few hundred feet high and located in Milton, south of Boston. The previous record was 31 inches on Jan. 11, 1996.

7-day snowfall record: 40.5 inches

This isn't from the most recent seven days, but from a week ago -- the 16.2 inches that fell on Feb. 2 helped set that record.

10-day snowfall record and 5-day snowfall record

These records may not be as numerically classy as the seven-day record, but the period of snow ending Feb. 2 also set new marks for these.

Most snow days for Boston schools in at least 20 years

Boston public schools have been closed nine times this academic year due to weather. That's more than in 1995-96, the snowiest winter on record.

Coming soon: The snowiest February

The record snowfall for February is 41.6 inches (2003), but there has already been 40.1 inches this month. With two storms on the way, this record is toast, even if those storms make only glancing blows.

Boston Yetis: At least 1

He's been sighted on several days this year, but had never emerged in the puny snowstorms of winters past.

BONUS: 230,000 miles plowed with nearly 60,000 tons of salt

We don't know if these are records, but as of Tuesday the city of Boston said it had spent 132,119 hours plowing 230,829 miles of roads, and had used 59,562 tons of salt. That weighs more than 73 million canisters of Morton table salt.
