Drone racing is the new Mario Kart

If video games can be shown on ESPN, why not drone racing?

That's what RC enthusiasts of the New York City Drone User Group like to think when they race their homemade drones around Ferry Point Park in the Bronx. They use special digital goggles to give them a first person view of their drone in the air because, well, real jets are too expensive.

The hobbyists want to form a league and have rules to make it a bonafide sport. The hope is one day it will be as big as NASCAR.
