Patty Hearst is a woman of many accomplishments. The heir to a billion-dollar media company and ex-brainwashed terrorist-slash-bank-robber is now the co-owner of a Westminster champion.

The New York socialite, who goes by Patricia Hearst-Shaw, co-owns a Shih Tzu named Rocket that won in the Toy group Monday night during the first round of the Westminster Dog Show. Rocket will go on to compete in Tuesday night's event as a contender for Best in Show.

If the name Hearst sounds familiar, that's because her grandfather William Randolph Hearst built the largest newspaper chain in the U.S. Today, Hearst media publishes more than 300 magazines worldwide.

Hearst-Shaw was kidnapped by a terrorist group known as the Symbionese Liberation Army in 1974. She eventually identified with the group under the pseudonym "Tania" and helped the group rob a bank with a semi-automatic gun in California, wounding two people in the process. She became a wanted woman with a famous mug shot in the 1970s.

Despite claiming she was brainwashed by the group, Hearst was eventually convicted of bank robbery and a weapons charge. She spent nearly two years in prison before President Bill Clinton pardoned her in 2001.

Today, Hearst-Shaw is a mother and grandmother. She is also half dog-mother to Rocket the Shih Tzu, sharing him with Luke and Diane Ehricht.
