LOS ANGELES -- David Oyelowo cried during the standing ovation for John Legend and Common's performance of "Glory" from Selma at the 87th Academy Awards. And Oyelowo wasn't alone. Chris Pine, shedding a tear, and other celebrities were visibly moved.

Soon after the performance, the oddball pair of Idina Menzel and Tom Hanks presented the Best Original Song Oscar to "Glory," which triumphed over songs from The Lego Movie, Beyond the Lights, Glen Campbell...I'll Be Me and Lost Stars.

"We say that Selma is now because the struggle for justice is right now," Legend said in his acceptance speech. "We know that right now the struggle for freedom and justice is real."
