Emma Watson, you really need to cool it with being so appreciative, classy and kind. You're making the rest of Hollywood look bad.

The actress thanked Steve Carell in a handwritten note for supporting her cause, HeForShe, through his Oscars wardrobe. Carell, nominated for Best Actor for his role in Foxcatcher, wore HeForShe cufflinks to the ceremony.

Carell shared the note on Twitter:

Dear Steve Carell,

You were pure genius in Little Miss Sunshine (one of my all time favourite films), my brother became obsessed with you after Anchorman, I wanted to marry you or have you adopt me after Crazy, Stupid, Love, I hated that guy you played in The Way Way Back, and then you were mind-blowing in Foxcatcher. I think you’re so awesome and today you are wearing ‪#‎HeForShe‬ Monique Péan cufflinks at the Oscars to support Gender Equality. Couldn’t be more proud! THANK YOU.

Love,

Emma x

HeForShe is a campaign promoting gender equality that Watson launched in conjunction with the United Nations.

Here are what the cufflinks look like:

The note was gracious, as was Carell's subtle nod, and further proved that Watson and Carell can save the world one feminist fashion statement at a time.

Please note: There was a time Emma wanted to be adopted by Steve Carell, a move we are not fully opposed to.
