LOS ANGELES -- In a surprise move, Taylor Swift joined Madonna for a restrained performance of the Material Girl's "Ghosttown" at the iHeartRadio Music Awards on Sunday.

Swift strummed her acoustic guitar while Madonna took the lead on vocals on the ballad, which is the second single behind "Living for Love" from Madonna's Rebel Heart.

Watch the two pop queens in action in the video, below:

Swift -- winner of the night's Artist of the Year and Best Lyrics honors -- could barely contain herself after the performance.

And in the end, Madonna may have just found a new band member.

They ended the performance with kisses on the cheek.
