It's 2015, and, somehow, April Fools' Day is still a thing.

Despite no one actually enjoying this holiday filled with lies, manipulation and false information (at least Valentine's Day has chocolate), it has remained insanely popular. It is the Justin Bieber of holidays.

Brands are largely responsible for the persistence of this prank-fueled day of misery, throwing sizable amounts of time, energy and money into promoting fake products and services in hopes of seeming funny, cool and witty.

This year, as per usual, tech companies like Google and Amazon led the charge, but several smaller businesses joined in on the "fun." For your pranking safety, we've put together a list (to be updated all day) of all the scams, pranks and jokes pulled on Wednesday.

On behalf of the Internet, we apologize for how unsafe you feel. Your therapy bills are about to skyrocket for the month of April, but that's OK, Mashable is willing to pay for them -- just kidding, you fool.
