Legendary Olympian and Kardashian stepfather Bruce Jenner is putting the rumors about his changing appearance to rest in an interview with Diane Sawyer.

The sit-down interview, airing April 24, is billed by ABC as being "far-ranging," but the official announcement stops short of elaborating or stating specifically that Jenner will talk about being transgender for the first time -- likely out of respect for the subject matter.

An ABC spokesperson tells Mashable the interview was filmed in February, prior to the car accident involving Jenner that resulted in one fatality.

The interview will mark Jenner's first official statements since the reality star's changing appearance led to a slew of tabloid covers and coverage in the media.

Jenner had reportedly been filming an E! documentary series on this topic, but that is said to be on hold at the moment.
