B.B. King hospitalized for dehydration

Blues musician B.B. King has been hospitalized for dehydration caused by type 2 diabetes, The Los Angeles Times reported Monday.

His daughter later said he is doing "much better."

King, born Riley B. King, was diagnosed with diabetes more than 20 years ago. In October 2014, the 89-year-old musician canceled his concert tour after falling ill as a result of dehydration and exhaustion at his concert at the House of Blues in Chicago.

King has released more than 50 albums. He earned 15 Grammys as well as a spot in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
