March Madness is finally over and the world has spoken. Duke may be the nation's best college basketball team, but we finally have the nation's best college mascot.
More than 13,000 votes were cast in the final round of Mascot Madness between University of Maryland's Testudo the Turtle and UC Irvine's Peter the Anteater. Despite the world's love for slow mascots, only one could be crowned the winner.

Congratulations, Peter the Anteater. You are the Mascot Madness 2015 tournament winner. Your thirteenth seed meant nothing as you courageously upset mascot after mascot. You might be a blind, slow-moving mammal with a ridiculously long tongue, but that's what made you special.
