Facebook posts are mysteriously disappearing for some users

It's not just you: Facebook posts from certain user accounts are mysteriously disappearing left and right. Content from select Facebook pages, including Mashable's, have been disappearing over the past hour or so. Mashable's posts to the social network from the last three hours have disappeared, including a story published early Thursday about Jeff Bezos' phallic space rocket. [seealso url="http://sale-online.click/2015/04/25/facebook-messenger-tips/"] Facebook told Mashable that it is currently "trying to identify the bug." Some users who noticed the issue remain unable to post. Instead, some receive the following prompt: Original image replaced with Mashable logo Other users meanwhile see another prompt, indicating the link in a post is "malicious": Update: As of May 1 12:09 am E.T., the majority of errant posts had been restored. “An error in our system that helps block bad links on Facebook incorrectly marked some URLs as malicious or inappropriate," a Facebook spokesperson told Mashable. "As a result, some existing posts were hidden, while other posts were blocked completely. We’ve resolved the issue and the remaining affected URLs are being unblocked. We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused.” [wp_scm_comment]
