Since debuting his late-night program, CBS' Late Show on Aug. 30, 1993, David Letterman has spent 22 years entertaining audiences with his unique brand of snark and occasionally hostile interactions with guests.

The Late Show's YouTube channel recently published a retrospective of Letterman's more memorable interviews over the last two decades. They range from fan favorites, such as Bill Murray -- Letterman's first guest on his CBS show -- to celebrities who the host has clashed with, including Paris Hilton and Madonna.

Letterman ends his reign at the helm of Late Show on May 28. Stephen Colbert will replace him in September.
