Vance Joy has transformed Taylor Swift's "I Know Places" into an acoustic gem, ahead of opening for the "Shake It Off" singer on her "1989 World Tour" later this month.

Swift heard the cover and gave high praise to her soon-to-be tour mate:

There have been so many amazing covers of 1989 songs... I'm going to be bold enough to say this one is my favorite. http://t.co/JiJhpvpRup— Taylor Swift (@taylorswift13) May 5, 2015

Joy, seemingly lost for words, responded to Swift's kudos with emojis:

Don't be surprised if you see the two artists perform a duet of "I Know Places" during the tour. Joy, whose first night as opener is May 20 in Bossier City, is among several openers for select dates throughout the tour. Shawn Mendes, HAIM, Ellie Goulding, James Bay and John Newman will also serve as openers for some tour stops.

Previously, Swift covered Joy's "Riptide" in October:
