It's all fun and games until someone loses a selfie stick.

Disney's theme parks banned selfie sticks on rides more than a month ago, but visitors to Disney World are still trying to capture every moment of the fun. Holding out a three-foot-long stick on a roller coaster may seem like an obviously bad idea, but park guests are doing so with increasing frequency.

Staff at Disney World have had to stop the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad several times because of riders using selfie sticks, the Orlando Sentinel reports. On Friday, they put up a sign at the ride entrance to remind guests about the policy.

The park allows guests to bring the sticks on the ride, but they must be safely stored away. There is no ban on using the sticks in the park while not on the rides.

Disneyland is posting similar signs at Space Mountain and Thunder Mountain in Anaheim, California.

Selfie sticks are proving a nuisance to all kinds of attractions around the world.

Many major museums have instituted bans, as the sticks pose a danger to priceless works of art. This year's Kentucky Derby also had a ban in place on the sticks, as did Coachella.
