The waiting game is almost over for Janet Jackson's new album. She and music giant BMG confirmed Wednesday that it will be released this fall.

Jackson, 49, caught her big break in 1986 when her third album Control soared to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 200, and produced five top-five singles.

Over the course of three decades, she has unleashed many more songs that have topped the Hot 100 Singles chart, including "That's The Way Love Goes," "When I Think of You," "Miss You Much," "Escapade," "Black Cat," "Love Will Never Do," "Again," "Together Again," "Doesn't Really Matter" and "All For You."

“Janet is not just a supreme artist; she is a unique cultural force whose work resonates around the world," BMG CEO Hartwig Masuch said in a statement.

And to paraphrase her legion of fans, they "Miss You Much," Ms. Jackson.
