When a new gadget hits the market, the tech world is comparable to a zoo. Reviewers all but foam at the mouth over small features, throw devices at the wall just to see what happens and would sacrifice their first born to be first in line and rule the natural hierarchy.

So let's just skip the middle man and see what the real animals have to say about the coveted Apple Watch.

The San Diego Zoo visited Mashable in New York with some animal pals, and the results were mixed. It seems the Apple Watch is not so impressive for anyone with a beak. (It does say a lot about the device's durability, though.)

The verdict? Animals would much rather eat worms or invest in a cause that hits closer to home, like saving others in the animal kingdom.
