Amy Schumer could have been the next host of The Daily Show, but blazers just aren't her thing.

In a recent interview with Howard Stern, the comedian and star of Comedy Central sketch show Inside Amy Schumer shared that she once hung out with Jon Stewart -- and chatted about her potentially taking over his late night show. (Stewart's last episode airs August 6.)

“We had a piece of pizza and talked about the possibility of me hosting,” Schumer said. “I think he was there to answer my questions.”

Her distaste for business casual dress eventually won out, though.

“I just pictured all the fittings -- all the blazers I would have to wear,” Schumer joked. “I was like, ‘I don’t want to do that'...It felt like it would be betting against myself. ‘This way I’m secure, I know I would make this and have this job.’ But I’m like, ‘No I’m going to bet on myself that I can do more.’”

So instead of Schumer, the job went to Trevor Noah -- who has no such anti-blazer stance.

Schumer has been garnering huge praise for her sketch series, particularly thanks to its strong feminist stance. From ageism in Hollywood, to sexual assault, to child beauty pageants, the star has tackled numerous issues and socially conscious jokes in her over-the-top sketches.

The comedian also spoke to The Daily Beast about turning down The Daily Show, admitting she was "so flattered by the offer that it made her cry."

However, another reason she passed was because the show is all about politics, which isn't exactly her brand of comedy.

“I think if I heard that I was hosting The Daily Show I would be like, ‘Oh, give me a f-cking break,'" she joked.

Schumer now joins Amy Poehler and Chris Rock in the club of comedians who turned down The Daily Show.
