Three people have been gored so far this year in the Running of the Bulls of the San Fermín festival in Pamplona, Spain. Nearly a dozen more have been injured.

The tradition dates back to 1591, and not much has changed since. People gather each morning for eight days to charge with the bulls as they race down the street, from pen to bullring.

Though the festival is beloved and draws thousands of visitors to the town each year, 15 people have died and many others have been injured since 1924.
