Root, root, root for the home team... because they won.

The U.S. Women's National Team were welcomed home after winning the Women's World Cup with a huge victory parade in New York City on Friday. Their win against Japan on Sunday was the team's third championship and their first since 1999. The team is the first women's national team to claim three World Cup titles.

Carli Lloyd, Hope Solo, Abby Wambach and the rest of the team were surrounded by thousands of cheering fans as they made their way up Broadway during the ticker tape parade. The team was also celebrated at ceremony at City Hall, where Mayor Bill de Blasio gave them keys to the city.
