SAN DIEGO -- Once Upon a Time is entering a Brave new world next season.

The ABC fantasy show is set to introduce at least one character based on the 2012 animated hit, about a young princess whose archery skills are second only to the strength of her resolve, when it returns for Season 5 in the fall.

This big reveal closed out the sneak peek-packed panel on Saturday:

The move comes one year after Once Upon a Time introduced characters from Frozen, an arc that fueled the first half of Season 4.

Among the other first looks? A new clip featuring Emma Swan (Jennifer Morrison) as we've never seen her before:

Last season featured Emma embracing the darkness, giving way to "Dark Swan."

"If Regina was the only person in danger, she would have made the same choice," Morrison said of her character's life-changing decision. "She had to make a split second decision."

Season 5 will also bring with it Once Upon a Time's milestone 100th episode, which producers Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis said is currently scheduled to act as the show's spring premiere.

"All we can really say is we want to make it very special," Horowitz said.
