During a live performance on the morning show Despierta America, Mexican singer Patricia Navidad accidentally dropped her menstrual pad while singing the song "Viva Mexico."

Despite criticism she has received online, Navidad is not ashamed . After all, periods are just a part of life and accidents will happen.

Navidad also fires back at her detractors, especially men who have been harassing her online about the video.

Translations to Navidad's tweets read as follows:

1. What a shame that there are men who forget they are here because of a woman and are offensive and vulgar toward women!!!

2. They say a man who treats a women like a princess was brought up by a queen, but what about those who offend women, who were they brought up by??

3. And if you were what you said, it is not even embarrassing, nor something to be ashamed about but when judged, (agredir y senalar) you forget that you’re not who you say you are!!

"Agredir u senelar" does not smoothly translate to English. However, literally translated, "agredir" means "to agitate in an offensive way" and "senelar" means "to signal but in an aggressive way," in context of Navidad's tweets.
