If you propose to the love of your life but Ed Sheeran isn't there to serenade you, does it really mean anything?

The ginger singer loves facilitating engagements. He's given fans a hand before -- and now he has extended his services to assist his celebrity pals. Apparently, all you need to do is provide a little fried chicken.

On Saturday night, perennial bridesmaid Sheeran brought Rixton's Jake Roche onstage to propose to his girlfriend, Little Mix's Jesy Nelson.

The BBC reports that Sheeren showed up to Little Mix's soundcheck in Manchester to perform an acoustic version of his song "Tenerife Sea" while Roche got down on one knee to pop the question.

A year ago today I met her at manchester arena, so it was only right, with a little help from my friend, that this happened. Best day of my life. A photo posted by Jake Roche (@jake_rixton) on Jul 19, 2015 at 11:25am PDT

Sheeran traveled five hours for the occasion and was compensated for his trouble with KFC.

@Jake_Rixton my absolute pleasure. Thanks for the KFC— Ed Sheeran (@edsheeran) July 19, 2015
