The Limited Too, the source of tween fashion and joy for over two decades, is back in fashion.

The store, which launched as a tween offshoot of The Limited in 1987 and closed its doors in 2008, will make a triumphant — and glittery — return in 2016 after being acquired by brand management company Bluestar Alliance, the New York Post reported on Tuesday. The Post said that Bluestar expects to open 200 stores in the next five years.

Bluestar, which owns a number of other fashion brands including Nanette Lepore and Kensie, didn’t immediately respond to Mashable’s request for comment.

Limited Too was one of the “it” brand for tween girls at its peak in the 90s and early 2000s, reigning supreme alongside Delia*s and accessories shop Claire’s. Slate’s Emily Yoffe aptly described the store’s merchandise in 2007 as “awash in shimmer; virtually every item was encrusted with rhinestones or sparkling with glitter.”

But after sales slowed down and the brand posted big losses in 2008, its then-owner Tween Brands shuttered the store in 2008, converting the remaining 560 U.S. locations of Limited Too into lower-price Justice stores.

Limited Too won’t be alone in its quest to make 90s tween style relevant again: earlier this year, Delia*s announced it will be making an online-only comeback.
