It's hot, delicious and cheesy. It brings people together. Americans have adopted the Italian delicacy as their own.
You might have your favorite pizza place around the corner and insist there's nothing better, but TripAdvisor has some real talk for you. It analyzed thousands of reviews left on the site from diners across the United States and settled on the top 10 pizza restaurants across the country (at least 10% of reviews had to mention "best pizza," TripAdvisor said).
Take a look through this year's top ranked pizzerias to see if your pie made the cut.
1. Juliana's Pizza, Brooklyn, New York
The sister to the original Grimaldi's Pizzeria in Brooklyn, Juliana's is owned and operated by Patsy Grimaldi. Juliana's is a heavenly thin-crusted, coal-fired pizza, topped with fresh tomatoes and delicious mozzarella. Like all good pizza restaurants, though, you can only buy a full pie -- no slices.
2. Pizza Time, St. Augustine, Florida

Their specialty slices, like breaded eggplant or lasagna, come most highly recommended. Pizza Time also makes its own sauce from imported Italian Roma tomatoes.

4. Keste, New York, New York
It doesn't get more authentic than Neapolitan pizza made by a Naples native. Che and owner Roberto Caporuscio studied with Neapolitan pizza masters, and now makes 50 different traditional and specialty pies at Keste in Manhattan. He uses a combination of San Marzano tomato sauce and imported bufala mozzarella cooked in a wood-burning stove.
5. Tony's Pizza Napoletana, San Francisco, California
In the heart of San Francisco's Little Italy, Tony's Pizza Napoletana is an award-winning pizzeria; its margherita was the first pizza in the U.S. to win the World Pizza Cup. Each style of pizza -- Napoletana, New York, Detroit, California and St. Louis -- are cooked at varying degrees in the oven.
6. Pizzeria Regina, Boston, Massachusetts
Pizzeria Regina in Boston's North End has been a family-run operation since 1926. Regina's has curbside delivery, which is ideal for a late-night fix (its Giambotto, with all the toppings, weighs more than three pounds).
7. Antico Pizza Napoletana, Atlanta, Georgia
Antico Pizza Napoletana is a BYOB family-style restaurant with communal tables. The kitchen is an open part of the dining room, so you can watch your pizza transform. (There's a nearby gelateria, Caffé Antico, where you can get your sweet tooth fix.)
8. Bill's Pizza, Palm Springs, California

New Haven-style pizza -- thin-crust pies with tomato sauce and only a sprinkle of pecorino Romano, originated here Its famous white clam pizza is a mesh of New England and classic Italian cuisines.
10. John's Pizzeria, New York, New York
Native New Yorkers and tourists alike can agree that the pizza here is worth the wait. You'll notice a big "no slices" inside -- but you'll want a whole pie to yourself, anyway. John's uses fresh mozzarella and coal-fires its pies.
