Ian McShane is heading to Westeros.
The Deadwood fave has been cast in Season 6 of Game of Thrones, according to EW.com.

The character he's playing is being kept under wraps, but EW reports the role is of "key importance" and involves a small amount of screen time.
Despite these minimal hints, fans have already started to spin theories, and they definitely sway in one direction: Euron Greyjoy, uncle of Theon.
Ian McShane is going to be in Game of Thrones in an undisclosed but key role. My money is on him playing Euron Greyjoy.— Brian Wishart (@bwishart) August 1, 2015
please tell me Ian McShane is playing Euron Greyjoy— Britt Hayes, Esq. (@MissBrittHayes) August 1, 2015
I'm guessing Ian McShane has been cast as Euron Greyjoy and if true, it's the only way I'll ever be happy to see a Greyjoy on #GameofThrones— Lauren Morgan (@morglaur) August 1, 2015
@JamesHibberd @GameOfThrones EURON GREYJOY????— Daenerys Targaryen (@hisnameism1key) August 1, 2015
There are, however, alternative theories:
@JamesHibberd @GameOfThrones @EW he is clearly going to be the mad king!!!— Baz (@bazfitz1982) August 1, 2015
Ian Mcshane in @GameOfThrones I'll be very surprised if he isn't playing Sam's dad— Jamie Barker (@LordOfTheChin) August 1, 2015
Ian McShane will be awesome in GoT next year. Victarion Greyjoy, anybody?— John Shepherd (@JShepherdMusic) August 1, 2015
News of McShane's casting comes on the heels of HBO announcing that the hit series has at least two more seasons to go following Season 6, which is currently in production.
It still may or may not feature Kit Harrington.
