Emoji are perfect for expressing just about anything -- except, apparently, your frustrations about student loan debt.
Hillary Clinton's campaign decided to touch on the subject of college affordability by asking her Twitter followers to express themselves using emoji.
How does your student loan debt make you feel? Tell us in 3 emojis or less.— Hillary Clinton (@HillaryClinton) August 12, 2015
First, let's get one thing straight: The plural of emoji is emoji, not emojis.
On Instagram, many responsed in earnest.
Education, financial well-being and student loan debt are important issues in the 2016 campaign -- and Hillary isn't a just regular presidential candidate, she's a cool presidential candidate.
On Twitter, though, the replies mostly poked fun at the perceived flippancy of using emoji to address a serious issue. Some answers were sarcastic; others brutally honest; and plenty of poop emoji to go around.
