Eight-year-old Layla Murphy loves Star Wars. Unfortunately, some girls at Layla's school in Norfolk, Virginia have been teasing and ridiculing the young girl for her fandom, commenting that the sci-fi movies are only for boys.
The taunting has gotten to the point where Layla has become ashamed of wearing her Star Wars gear out in public.

A charitable Star Wars costume group, The 501st Legion, heard Layla's story and asked the Internet to share stories about their love of the franchise to help her feel better about herself. The group also scheduled a meet-up with the biggest Star Wars nerd of them all: Weird Al.

The charity met up with the girl and Yankovic at a local concert where Layla received a full Storm Trooper costume that she could proudly wear for her meeting with the musician -- or any time she decides to conquer the galaxy.
