The greatest Christmas song of modern times will soon be the greatest Christmas book of all time.

Mariah Carey's "All I Want For Christmas Is You" is so catchy that it could make even the Grinch dance -- so it makes sense for Carey follow in Dr. Seuss's footsteps. Her new picture book, which shares the song's title, will focus on a girl who desperately wants a puppy for Christmas, People reports.

Carey herself has multiple Jack Russell Terriers, so this is personal. She also has five-year-old human twins, which may have also been a motivation.

"When I wrote 'All I Want For Christmas Is You' it was my dream for it to become a classic Christmas song," Carey wrote in a statement. "I am so proud of the song's impact as it continues to create memories for fans each year."

Dogs were a very important part of the song's 1994 music video...

... as well as the 2011 video with Justin Bieber.

Mariah Carey video scholars will also notice that the book cover, illustrated by Colleen Madden, looks just like animated Mariah in the "Heartbreaker" video -- complete with flowing blonde hair covering half her face.

Word of the book comes in the wake of news that Carey will direct and co-star in a holiday movie for Hallmark called Mariah Carey's Christmas Project. All in all, this means Mariah will soon dethrone Mrs. Claus as the official queen of Christmas.

Doubleday Books for Young Readers, an imprint of Random House Children's Books, is set to release All I Want For Christmas Is You on November 10.
