Season 6 of Game of Thrones is going to the Ironborn.

Mashable can confirm that Danish actor Pilou Asbæk has been cast in the role of Euron Greyjoy -- Theon's uncle, and yet another violent, insane schemer for the show's remaining decent people to contend with.

In George R.R. Martin's series, Euron Greyjoy is a banished member of the Greyjoy clan and captain of a ship crewed entirely by men whose tongues he ripped out.

Asbæk, the actor tasked with portraying the warrior Greyjoy, has (to our knowledge) never ripped out someone's tongue. He did, however, have a role in 2014's Lucy and was in seven episodes of Showtime's The Borgias. Asbæk also had a role in the Danish political drama Borgen.

Good luck, remaining good guys.

Bonus: Goodnight, Westeros
