After Justin Bieber's "What Do You Mean?" debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Hot 100 on Tuesday -- making him the youngest male to accomplish the feat -- the 21-year-old thanked everyone by releasing an acoustic version of the breathy smash hit.

Only 23 songs have peaked on the top of the Hot 100 in their debut week during this chart's near-six-decade existence.

In the video for this acoustic rendition, Bieber is shown recording the original version, promoting the song before its release and appearing on TV events to perform or talk about the single from his upcoming fourth studio album.

Bieber also surfs, hikes, uses a hover board on a plane tarmac and skateboards throughout New York City in the video.
