The Whopper might be looking a little spookier this Halloween.
According to the Reddit user bkleaks, Burger King may be rolling out some special menu items in the U.S. for the Halloween season, including a Pumpkin Spice Oreo Shake, a crispy chicken sandwich with A1 sauce and a Whopper with a black bun.
The distinct black bun burger looks to be similar to the restaurant franchise's black, squid ink burger that was released in Japan in 2014. The unique burger left many fast food fans in the U.S. itching to go abroad.
Unlike the Japanese version, the U.S. version looks like it has less squid ink and more of the ingredients Americans know and love, save for the black bun.
The screenshots posted on Reddit are from the restaurant's training website, Burger King University. Apparently the user found them while browsing the website. Of course, it is still entirely possible these images could have been altered or fabricated from another site.
Burger King told Mashable that they currently have nothing to add to this story at this time, so at the moment, it's just a rumor.
Whether these new items are real or not, they definitely look tasty.
