LONDON -- Horses are unfairly expected to gallop and trot around everywhere just because they have four legs and a reputation for speed, but what if every now and then they just fancy taking a break?

Well, that was clearly the intention of the horse seen casually riding the Luas light rail tram system in Dublin, Ireland, on Thursday, much to the confusion of its fellow passengers.

Is this really happening on @Luas today? #LuasHorse @DublinHour @DublinFashion PLEASE bring back the #GlamTram #dff pic.twitter.com/DvGAfbN0kv— Clare WithTheHair ™ (@ClareWithTheHai) September 17, 2015

The driver eventually spotted the horse and asked the owner to take it elsewhere, according to Irish news site The Journal.

"They literally had to take two fellas to push it back off," one witness called Una told The Journal. She said the horse didn't seem to be at all distressed by the situation.

People were quick to share their amusement over the whole episode on Twitter.
