John Green wants you to know interesting things about interesting people

In the latest installment from Mental Floss, John Green schools us on who invented what and all of the interesting facts that go along with them. Just so you know, there are tons of interesting facts about inventors. John Green picked the best 28 so you would know that successful, intelligent people also have bizarre style preferences and sometimes give their creations impossibly long names just because.

For instance, Alfred Nobel invented that prize thing because he didn't want to be remembered for that other amazing thing he invented -- dynamite. Henry Ford was the cheapest politician there ever was. Samuel Morse -- of Morse Code -- influenced Donald Trumps everywhere.

There was also a patent hoarder and Nicholas Tesla was a style guru. Who knew?
