LOS ANGELES -- There, there, Radiohead fans. A new album is creeping along -- the band just needs time to get everything in its right place.

But before we're let down, consider: Guitarist Johnny Greenwood on Thursday tweeted that reports of a finished album and forthcoming tour are highly premature. The truth is that Radiohead has been doing a lot of recording and is in the process of combing through the raw materials to see if there's anything there.

The update comes via Consequence of Sound, which picked up a Russian radio station Silver Rain's interview with Greenwood. Initially, CoS reported a quote attributed to Greenwood -- later clarified -- that read:

"We have finished recording of the new album but we keep reevaluating the work we've done ... We hope we'll get it right soon, and after that we'll start planning next year's tour."

Greenwood jumped on Twitter to declare that something was lost in translation:

@coslive nice mistranslation going on....what I actually said: lots has been recorded, and we're about to go through it all....— Jonny Greenwood (@JnnyG) October 15, 2015

@coslive ...to see if it's any good. And we HOPE to tour next year: no plans confirmed yet. Sorry for the over enthusiastic translator....:/— Jonny Greenwood (@JnnyG) October 15, 2015

Bandmate and Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke chimed in shortly after:

@coslive no IT ain't finished take responsibility for your writing and check your facts occasionally .. alright Jonny? @JnnyG— Thom Yorke (@thomyorke) October 15, 2015

This is what you get when you mess with poorly translated copy. The good news is that Radiohead might just have the raw materials in those recordings for the follow-up to 2011's The King of Limbs.

But true Radiohead fans will remain patient, because true love waits.
