The leaves are turning, chunky sweaters are making the rounds and sports are on TV, like, a lot.

You know what that means: It's time for delicious, indulgent food like this loaded baked potato dip with curly bacon chips.

This is not a diet food. It's not even remotely healthy. This is an obscenely gluttonous way to indulge with 20 of your closest friends.

If you make it ahead of time, the dip reheats well in the microwave or oven. It will break a bit (looks lumpy where the fat from the dairy separates from the rest of the dip), but the taste remains as decadent as your favorite baked potato soup.

It's perfect when dipped with crispy, curly bacon chips. It's handy when repurposed as the top of a shepherd's pie.

And it really soothes the burn when your team loses.

The recipe can easily be halved or quartered as long as you adjust the cooking time accordingly, so the dip doesn't scorch.
