It was a dark day in 1998 when Bob Odenkirk and David Cross revealed that their HBO sketch comedy series, Mr. Show with Bob and David, had been cancelled. But now, almost two decades later, we finally have our first real taste of With Bob and David, the comedy duo's highly anticipated, completely original Netflix sketch comedy series.

And hey, look at that. It feels a whole lot like Mr. Show! That might be because the above sketch is populated entirely by veterans of the HBO series; along with Cross and Odenkirk, there's (L-R) Jay Johnston, John Ennis and Paul F. Tompkins. It could also be the inverted-reality humor that we so loved on Mr. Show.

The real question, which isn't answered in this clip, is how the sketches will be strung together. On Mr. Show, there were always ties, from throwaway lines to full-blown segues, that linked each sketch with the one that followed. Will the same be true on With Bob and David?
