NEW YORK — Rebecca Ariz was the first in line for the secret Electra Woman & Dyna Girl event Friday at Stream Con, thanks in large part to the 14-year-old's mom Brenda.
"She let me miss school," Rebecca said while waiting in line at the first digital content convention held at Javits Center.
The New Jersey native is a huge fan of YouTubers Grace Helbig and Hannah Hart, who star in the Legendary Entertainment and Fullscreen reboot of the 1970s TV series. But Brenda is also a fan of the original Electra Woman, Deidre Hall.
The mother-daughter pair arrived at 3 p.m. for the event, which was scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m. "We got our wristbands and came right down," Brenda said. "I knew she [Rebecca] wasn't going to leave her spot in line. She's so excited to see this."

The last time Rebecca met Helbig it was May 31 (she remembered the date off the top of her head) at Book Con, a celebration of books and authors also held at Javits.
"She was crying and Grace told Rebecca 'This is a good time, you're not supposed to be crying!'" Brenda recalled.
Behind them stood some 100 people in line, most of whom said they had heard about the secret fan event through Twitter on Thursday.
