Retailers consider the holiday season an exercise in making customers sob their hardest. Sainsbury's 2015 Christmas advert is no exception.

The U.K. supermarket chain shared this season's ad on Thursday, featuring a sweet but mischievous cat named Mog who nearly ruins Christmas for his family. After Mog nearly burns down her home through an increasingly unfortunate series of events, the surrounding community members band together to make Christmas a happy one for she and her owners.

Viewers might recognize Mog as the titular character from author Judith Kerr's popular picture book series. According to Metro U.K., Kerr will revive Mog with a new title tied to the Christmas advert. The new title, Mog's Christmas Calamity, is the author's first since retiring the character in 2002.

The book will cost £3.00, while a soft toy version of Mog will cost £10.00.

Proceeds from both will benefit Save The Children's initiative to improve children's literacy.
