The Eagles of Death Metal will go on.

"We have to finish the tour," co-founder and drummer Josh Homme, who was not in Paris at the time of the attacks, told Vice, which earlier this week teased the full 26-minute interview with the last band to play at the Bataclan.

"I want to be the first band to play in the Bataclan when it opens up," said co-founder Jesse Hughes, who was onstage that night. "Because I was there when it went silent for a minute."

Several bandmembers got together for the interview, split into two parts: the first with the larger group, the second just Hughes and Homme. From each came detailed and highly emotional accounts of the attack from the perspective of the bandmembers, who were mostly split up -- and thus had very different stories to tell.

"The reason so many people died," Hughes said at one point, "is that so many people wouldn't leave their friends."

When the shooting started, guitarist Eden Galindo "thought it was the PA cracking up, but then I realized real quick that it wasn't."

Drummer Julian Dorio had a different reaction.

"The initial shots were so powerful that I knew immediately something was wrong. Almost immediately, the gun powder hit my nose."

Homme and Hughes also said they wanted bands to start covering their song "We Love You All the Time," and called on streaming services to distribute them, with proceeds going to the victims.
