LONDON -- Just when you thought brussels sprouts couldn't get any better (or worse), one renegade food outlet went ahead and deep fried them.

Sutton and Sons, a fish and chip shop in East London, have taken the fate of the most divisive Christmas veg into their own hands, battering and frying them until they are but a shell of their former nutrition.

“I’ve never been a huge fan of brussel sprouts, so we tried battering them for the Christmas season and they are a great way to get everyone to tuck into those boy scouts," shop owner Danny Sutton told The Quirker, explaining Sutton and Sons' bid to build the sprouts' popularity.

At £2.50 ($3.75) per serving, there's little reason not to give these tiny bundles of festive fun a try.

But please, everyone, remember:

sprouts do not need to be battered and deep fried to be delicious please rt— Kate Solomon (@katiesol) December 8, 2015
