Safyre Terry doesn't want a pile of toys for Christmas like most 8-year-olds her age. She just wants enough Christmas cards to fill her aunt's tree.
In 2013, Safyre was involved in an arson fire that killed her father, 3-year-old sister, 2-year-old brother, and 11-month-old half-brother. Safyre, the lone survivor of the fire, was found near her father, whose body shielded her from the flames and saved her life. But she still suffered severe burns on 75% of her body.

Safyre now lives with her aunt, Liz Dolder, in New York, who bought a tree that displays Christmas cards. Dolder told BuzzFeed that Safyre desperately wanted to fill the tree with cards, but the family usually only receives about 10 cards a year.
So a Facebook group of Safyre's supporters posted a call to action in September, asking people to make Safyre's Christmas wish come true this year.
"Her Christmas wish is to fill her card tree with cards from all across the world. I strongly encourage anyone to participate or even just help spread the word around," the Imgur post read.
The post included a mailing address -- and has resulted in an influx of cards.
