In the fallout of the Minnesota Viking's 10-9 playoff loss to the Seattle Seahawks, kicker Blair Walsh has received his fair share of flak for missing a last-second field goal that would've advanced the Vikings to the next round of the playoffs.

Which is why Judie Offerdahl, a teacher at Northpoint Elementary School in Blaine Minnesota, decided to have her first grade class write some supportive letters to Mr. Walsh -- because hey, everybody makes mistakes. Students assured him he was "an awesome kicker," "the best player in the world," and, most importantly, "handsome."
Some of the class could even empathize with Walsh's predicament: "One time I made a mistake when I was doing a cartwheel and I felt embarrassed."
