PASADENA, California -- Jessica Jones will be back to kick more butt for a second season.

Netflix has officially -- but not surprisingly -- renewed the Marvel hit for a new season, they said Sunday.

The re-up comes just two months after Season 1 of the show -- the second Marvel show to roll out on Netflix -- debuted to rave reviews, both for star Krysten Ritter's performance and its superb writing.

Also, it just was ridiculously awesome.

"We do approach [the show] as a 13-hour movie," executive producer Rachael Taylor said during the Television Critics Association presentation on Sunday. "Each hour of that movie is its own chapter."

The show has also received much acclaim for bringing feminist issues to the forefront.

Netflix's vote of confidence for Jessica Jones is huge on its own, but even bigger in context: Remember that Netflix has Daredevil about to debut Season 2 in March, Luke Cage in production, a show about Iron First to come, a Defenders team up in the cards, and, as of this week, asolo Punisher series reportedly in development.

Take that "superhero fatigue."
