Don't jump to conclusions next time you hear someone talking about "the D." Maybe they're just worried about your health.

Yukon Health and Human Services' ad campaign urges everyone to remember to take their daily vitamin D supplement. However, the campaign chose some awkward wording to get the message across.

Beyond the confusion of using the commonly-known penis euphemism "the D" to mean vitamin D, the ads also pose strange and somewhat unintelligible questions like:

Do you do the D?

Need a little help with your daily D?

I'm in my 30's, who knew I needed to do the D!?

It turns out, we all do need the D. And we want the D. Desperately. But we can't always get it from your well-balanced diet or adequate sunlight.

People on the Internet thought the campaign was hilarious, but the Canadian health service has already discontinued the unfortunately phrased ads. They replaced them with more straightforward copy on their website.

Oh, Yukon, you beautiful weirdo. "We all need the D." https://t.co/mGxQFf1IDy— Eva Holland (@evaholland) January 23, 2016

Despite the campaign change, Yukon Health and Human Services remains steadfast in helping people improve their lives by stressing the importance of vitamin D in their diets.

However, it's also relevant to note that too much vitamin D can cause abnormal heart rhythm and kidney stones. So you can, technically O.D. on the D. Be careful out there.
