You can eat a hot dog topped with real flakes of gold at Super Bowl 50
Just when you thought a great stadium sausage was as good as it gets, here comes a wiener topped with actual golden flakes.
This sausage comes courtesy of Centerplate, the food service provider who will be handling the concessions at this year's Super Bowl, held at Levi's Stadium.
This upper-crust sausage was developed by chefs Santana Diaz and Dinari Brown. It is composed of a custom blend of 50 ingredients (there's pork in there so this isn't your standard Hebrew National frankfurter), served on a poppy seed bun with sautéed bell peppers and topped with — yes, that's right — flakes of actual gold. It's fancy.

You can only get this limited-edition item at the actual stadium on game day for $12 a pop. If you didn't score a ticket to Super Bowl 50, you will have to make do with mustard as the only golden hue on your game day hot dog.
At least you can always count on those golden doughnuts for dessert.
