Cam Newton is the reigning NFL MVP, and the flyest dresser in the league.

The Carolina Panthers quarterback did not disappoint on either front with his Super Bowl 50 attire.

Newton took the field at Levi's Stadium for warmups rocking a pair of glitzy gold cleats accurately proclaiming himself MVP just above the ankles.

But the shiny shoes weren't just a pre-game stunt -- Newton entered the field for the game sporting them, too. You can get a close-up look in the photo atop this post.

Newton radiates confidence -- to the irritation of some -- so it's not a huge surprise to see him in gold cleats with MVP plastered across the ankles.

But with a win over the Denver Broncos on Sunday, he could make an even bolder fashion statement: gold cleats, with "MVP" written on one shoe and "SB50 champ" written on the other.
