John Oliver and Lin-Manuel Miranda perfectly explain why we should help Puerto Rico
Watch Next

Puerto Rico is in the middle of a debt crisis, and yet many Americans remain completely unaware of it.

On Last Week Tonight, John Oliver goes through the many nuances of how the catastrophic, $70 billion debt crisis came to be, and why the U.S. government should be doing its duty to help -- after all, Puerto Ricans are U.S. citizens as well.

Oliver recruited Lin-Manuel Miranda, the son of Puerto Rican immigrants and currently the most popular man on the planet, to perform an emotional rap to convince us all to sit up an pay attention.

He'll even throw in some Hamilton tickets.
