This year's Scripps National Spelling Bee co-champions Vanya Shivashankar and Gokul Venkatachalam are here to tell you they are smart. And cool.

Mostly because they are geniuses who never have to use spellcheck, but also because they worked hard, studied a lot and persevered. So you should too.

And the Bee's official pronouncer Dr. Bailly is here to tell you: No, there are no other forms of pronunciation for cool.
