Microsoft and Facebook have partnered up to create A Year in the Like, a tool that takes you on a visual journey through the past year by pulling information from your Facebook Timeline.

Giving A Year in the Like access to your Timeline will first display a page of scrolling quotes from your wall in a format resembling Microsoft's Metro layout. Comments include those written by your friends on your wall and photos as well as those you've left yourself.

The comments scroll through by month, so you can relive what was happening on your Facebook wall during a particular time period. Clicking on a specific quote as it scrolls by on the screen will give you a full-screen view of the picture it is referring to, as well as the entire stream of comments associated with the photo.

Another option called Make a Movie allows you to incorporate more photos from your Timeline into the mix, and create a movie that includes both pictures and comments from the past year. You can have the tool create your movie for you with random photos and comments, or you can select certain friends -- or perhaps a significant other -- you would like to include specifically in the video.

Videos you create can be shared with your friends on Facebook or Twitter directly from within the tool, and each has its own unique URL you can copy/paste into an email or anywhere else you might want to share your creation.
